It's the middle of February and where has the time gone? It's amazing how quickly time passes. If only I had another two hours each day right? Oh well...I'll take what I can get. Setting realistic goals is helpful in feeling like I've accomplished a lot in a certain amount of time. And, setting goals is a task in itself, but totally worth doing for sure as it encourages me to get things checked off a list.
As it's been awhile since I have blogged here, it is one of my goals for this year to fill my site with lots of inspiration from decorating mantles, cozing up your living room or creating fun tables-capes and more! As y'all know, I live for creating vignettes, styling spaces within the home and simply making a space efficient yet cozy.
As you see in the image above, this is a mantle I have styled at home. As most of you know, faux foliage is my absolute favorite thing to add to any space. What I love most about this modern farmhouse style is that it is cozy yet clean. I'm not a fan of clutter, and so I feel like this mantle is full, yet everything has it's place. What are some of your favorite decor pieces at home?
If you have been inside my shop, you'll see that style reflects how I decorate at home. Mixing vintage pieces with newer modern decor pieces gives a clean, yet cozy feel for your space. Sticking to earth tones creates a peaceful and calming experience within a space. I tend to choose larger pieces of furniture in light colors to keep the space light and airy and accent pieces that are warmer in tone, texture and pattern. By practicing this, it can actually make your space feel larger than what it really may be.
I hope you have enjoyed my first home inspirational blog post here! Thank you for reading and I look forward to bringing you more inspiration in the near future! ~Libby
