Faith

“Christ alone, my cornerstone, weak made strong…in the Savior's love, through the storm, He is Lord…Lord of ALL.” This song by Hillsong Worship said it all to me this morning. Sitting at my computer getting ready to do some work on my website, this song came on and this overwhelming emotion came over me. I was quickly reminded how great my God is, even during this interesting and historical time that we are living.

The song moved me so much that I thought, now is the perfect time to write a blog in which has nothing to do with home-decor, but about life and the opportunity that God is giving us right now to connect with our children, connect with our neighbors and come together in support of one another. Normally, life can be so busy that we don’t stop ourselves to truly spend the time connecting with our kids, connecting with neighbors and choosing to live in community.

I truly believe that the trials we face, will only make us stronger in the end. Even though it may not seem that way at the moment, somehow there always is growth through challenging times. My life is far from perfect, I have had many challenging times in my short life thus far, but one thing that has remained is God’s never-ending love and grace. Being a Christian does not mean that I have all the answers, that I live a 110% joyful life. What it means, is that I have chosen to follow God, seek His guidance through prayer, have faith in Him, trust His plan for my life and love Him by loving others.

Sharing one’s faith can be a scary thing because one doesn’t know how another will react. Somehow, I’ve always been myself and I’m grateful for remaining authentic to who I am and in my faith. My prayer for you, my friends, my family and the nation, is that God will lay a blanket of peace over those who hold fear, protect those who are vulnerable to this virus and that we choose to see the light in the darkness. Amen.
